Two building sections, measuring 60’ x 36’ and 24’ x 60’ were configured to form a 3,600 square foot L shaped garage. This 4 bay garage layout brings vehicle storage and workspace together, giving Marvin a flexible space to park, store equipment, and complete projects.

4 Bay Garage Design Creates Easy Vehicle Movement
Four overhead doors create defined bays within the building, allowing multiple vehicles to access the interior without the need to shuffle them around. Three of the bays are 36’ deep and are fitted with 12’ x 12’ overhead doors providing easy storage for cars, trucks, and other standard vehicles. The fourth bay extends 60’ deep and includes a larger 14’ x 14’ overhead door to accommodate oversized storage needs, such as Marvin’s excavator or a holiday trailer.
This 4 bay garage layout is particularly valuable on rural properties where storage needs to remain flexible and able to adapt to changing routines.
Natural Light & Smart Window Placement
Visibility For Easy Everyday Use
Marvin’s garage plans prioritized visibility and efficiency for everyday use. Transparent panels integrated into each overhead door, combined with strategically placed perimeter windows, distribute natural light evenly throughout all four bays.
Whether working under vehicles or at his workbench, the emphasis on natural light reduces shadows and creates a brighter, more functional environment. Thoughtful window placement also decreases reliance on artificial lighting during the day, contributing to a more energy efficient garage.
Fully Finished Interior
Clean, Comfortable & Easy to Maintain
The interior of the post frame garage is complete with insulation, durable wall metal, and a concrete slab floor to create a clean, comfortable working environment. The white wall panels reflect natural light throughout the space while standing up to everyday wear, making the garage suitable for both storage and workshop use
Proper insulation helps regulate temperatures, making the garage comfortable and energy efficient throughout the whole year. The concrete pad provides a durable low-maintenance floor that can be easily swept or washed, allowing it to stay tidy after long workdays.

Room to Work Without Compromising Parking
The clear span construction eliminates interior load bearing walls, allowing the full footprint of the garage to remain open and usable. This flexibility makes it easy to position toolboxes, workbenches, and shelving along the perimeter without interfering with vehicle access.
Within the L shaped design, workspace and storage areas can operate without interference of parked cars to preserve unobstructed parking in the adjacent bays. The result is a garage that supports active projects without forcing constant reorganization or limiting usable square footage.
