Brad’s Acreage Garage

Custom Post Frame Garage with Premium Features & Aesthetic

Designed For You

Building Customization

To meet local guidelines, Brad needed the garage he was planning for his acreage to match the look of his primary residence. With premium finishes throughout, this post frame building combines function with style to perfectly blend with the home on Brad’s property.

Premium Exterior Finishes

Premium Features to Match a Home

Although detached from the primary residence, Brad’s new post frame garage seamlessly matches his home’s aesthetic thanks to thoughtful design and premium features.

Versetta Stone wainscoting wraps around the lower portion of the garage’s exterior walls to match the stone finish around the corners of Brad’s home. Faux trusses installed on the gables of the garage mimic the accents on the home to ensure a consistent appearance between the two buildings. Rather than metal cladding, which is typically used on pole buildings, Brad upgraded to Hardie Board siding, colour matched to his home.

A cupola and weathervane sit atop the garage roof to stylishly finish Brad’s garage.

Features

4'

The stone wainscoting around the perimeter adds a textured finish along the bottom of the garage, purposefully chosen to match the details on Brad’s home.

Outdoor living Space

Outdoor Space for Enjoyable Acreage Living

Brad and his family value spending time outdoors and enjoying all the pleasures their property offers, from beautiful landscaping and fresh rural air, to an above ground pool. It was important to Brad to that his new garage complemented his blissful acreage retreat with an outdoor space.

Designed to provide a spot to relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings, the garage includes an 8’ x 48’ covered porch. Exposed fir posts and beams, and a peaked roofline on the porch elevate the aesthetic to fit with the rest of the garage and property.

Features

8' x 48'

Spanning the entire length of the garage, the porch provides ample shade and cover while enjoying the outdoors.

Durability

Durable Features for Long-Lasting Beauty

Valuing a quality, durable product capable of withstanding the demands of Western Canadian weather, Brad elected to include features to prolong the lifespan of his garage. To protect against post rot and decay caused by dirt and moisture, Brad’s garage utilizes Grade Guard polyurethane sleeves on every post of the main garage and precast concrete Perma-Columns on the porch posts.

Building wrap improves the seal of the garage and guards against damaging external elements, while soffit and fascia improve the ventilation in the attic space to prevent moisture damaging the roof system.

Features

30"

Grade Guard polyurethane sleeves are 30″ tall to protect posts against moisture and dirt.

Productive Interior

Polished Interior for Comfortable Use

The interior of Brad’s garage is fully finished with insulation, wall metal, and a concrete pad for a space that is comfortable to work in and easy to maintain. The wall metal helps to reflect natural light in the building, and insulation installed in the roof and walls helps maintain a comfortable working temperature in the garage year-round.

For extra storage space, a mezzanine spans the length of the rear wall in the garage and is accessible by a wooden staircase. The mezzanine allows the floor of Brad’s garage to be kept tidy and organized, with plenty of room to park or service vehicles.

Features

32' x 11 1/2'

Keeping the garage organized and clutter free is made possible by the sizeable mezzanine inside.
