Holly & Fred’s Riding Arena

Holly’s love of horses began during a childhood spent on the rodeo circuit, while the family business was renting horse trailers.

Today, her kids have inherited her passion for rodeo, and she runs the family business – which has expanded to renting stock trailers, livestock trailers, flat-deck trailers, and cargo trailers.

Remuda was hired to construct a riding arena for roping, barrel race practice, and working with horses. A second building to house an office and maintenance shop for the business was also needed. On Remuda’s recommendation, the height of the shop was raised and a large overhead door was installed. High windows were planned on the south side of the shop to maximize the natural light, and a darker roof was selected to quicken snowmelt. With a design in place, construction began.

“Remuda built our house, so when it came to the riding arena and shop, there really wasn’t any doubt who was going to build them. Their crews are all great to deal with and they clean up after construction. We were never afraid to ask any questions and they were always able to give you some sort of an answer. We have two family-owned businesses and Remuda is family-owned – it’s just nicer to deal with family versus corporate. ”
